Fungal Toenail Treatment with Q-Switched ND:YAG Laser
What is Fungal Toenail Treatment with Laser?
Our Q-Switched ND:YAG laser is a highly effective, non-invasive treatment for fungal toenail infections. The laser emits targeted light energy that penetrates the toenail and surrounding tissue, destroying the fungus without damaging healthy tissue. This advanced treatment directly targets the infection, providing long-lasting relief and encouraging healthier nail growth.
Key Benefits of Laser Fungal Toenail Treatment
- Highly effective – targets and destroys the fungal infection at the source
- Safe and non-invasive – no cutting, no medication, just gentle laser energy
- Quick and painless – treatments typically take 15-20 minutes
- No downtime – return to your regular activities immediately
- Long-lasting results – promotes healthy nail regrowth once the infection is eliminated
Important Note: Preventing Cross-Contamination
For the safety and effectiveness of your treatment, clients MUST bring a new pair of socks to their appointment. This is crucial to avoid cross-contamination and prevent re-infection.
Additionally, we require that all old socks (and footwear if possible) be boil-washed or replaced before your appointment. Fungal spores can survive on socks and shoes, and proper hygiene is essential for a successful treatment and to prevent reinfection.
How Many Sessions Are Needed?
Typically, 3-5 sessions are required, spaced about 2-4 weeks apart, depending on the severity of the infection and how your nails respond to the treatment.
Is the Treatment Safe?
Yes! The Q-Switched ND:YAG laser is FDA-approved and provides a safe, effective solution for treating fungal toenail infections. It’s quick, virtually painless, and has minimal side effects.
How Long Does the Treatment Take?
Each session typically lasts 15-20 minutes, and there’s no downtime, so you can return to your normal activities immediately after treatment.
